Achieving Your Carbon Reduction Targets

Is your organisation ready for the new Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Targets for April 2010? You are probably aware that the new legislation will affect all local authorities and large businesses, with a heavy fine for those not complying.Offsetting4you can offer a service to meet your CRC targets quickly.

Offsetting must be sustainable, both financially and ecologically. A long-term plan must be put in place to invest in planting native broadleaf trees here in the UK that can fully utilise CO2, for growth, storing the CO2 in their wood and roots, and creating their own carbon sink.

For example, an English oak tree will in its lifetime photosynthesise and store one tonne of CO2. A mature English oak can live to an average of one hundred years, and these oaks have often been known to live for three hundred years.
